yeah, I was reading about this one. seems the bloke who was running the one site in particular they went after was a bit of a loon, who not only kept posting all the very latest comics as they came out, but kept on daring the creators/publishers to do their worst. so they did. from what I know about him, he seems like a major cock. Colleen Doran had a few run-ins with him, which she talks about on her own site.
ReplyDeleteComicsworld has gone down, too. but Comicworld was a rapidshare-link hosting site, which hosted pretty much every comic you could possibly think of ( complete runs of Batman/Action/Spider-Man/X-Men, etc ). great for trying out stuff you've never read before, yeah, but you can see where the publishers might not warm to it.
I keep threatening to declare FAIR USE, but I'm guessing that's not going to wash. we shall see, chum. . .
